Custom MLP OC Commission Progress -Tattooed Sleeve

This has been an especially challenging project. A customer commissioned me to make a hoodie based on their OC. To get the proportions right, I vectored the design in Illustrator, then expanded it to match the same measurements of the hoodie sleeve. I then transferred the vectored image to Photoshop, and separated it into 8.5x11" pages (9 in total), then printed out each piece. I cut out all the pieces with an exacto blade so I could make sure I got the tattoo to match perfectly without possibly moving around when laying it out. I then transferred the cutouts to paper-backed applique with a pen, and ironed it to the felt. Next step was to carefully cut out all the pieces (thank goodness for detail scissors), then lay it all out. I took this photo at that stage, and afterwards ironed all the pieces down, then stitched them to secure them in place. I'm more than ready to have this project finished, I can't wait to get photos of the final product! : )
